Here in the United States, we have a gun culture that goes all the way back to before the founding of the nation.

The idea that guns are regular tools that can be owned by people because they have the right to defend themselves is just kind of built in.

And it continues to this very day, even often among people who intellectually don't agree with this concept.

They still kind of have it in some of these basic presuppositions.

But what about other cultures in different countries

that don't have this same fundamental starting point?
