Hey, welcome today's episode of the show. Today, I want to share a simple tool that you can use

And I think this is extremely important because if you have experience of social anxiety,

and we talked about this in episodes a little while back, but social anxiety can be summed up

as you're not going to like me. You know, I'm anxious about

social interactions, right? Because on some level, I believe you're not going to like me. It's not

going to go well. Projected dislike is the term for this in psychology. I'm imagining you're

not going to like me. And to make matters worse, I imagine that that dislike is warranted because there is something

wrong with me, there's something lacking in me, there's something unpleasant or unlovable about me

that's going to make you not like me and push me away. And that's warranted. And that's really bad

because I'm unlovable. And so if you don't like me, other people aren't going to like me, you know, whether

it's dating, like, no one's going to be with me or friendships.

Like, no one's going to be my friend or work.

Like, no one's going to want to, you know, respect me or hire me.

And so now I'm anxious, not about your perspective, but I kind of have this brush fire fallacy they call it in cognitive behavioral therapy as a thought distortion
