Here we go. The Every great executive we know spends a great deal of time on the people in their

organization, right? Who's good? Who's struggling hopefully nobody sometimes who's doing what we need them to do

Who's taking up too many resources who's creating conflict where they oughtn't

This is because the core responsibility of an executive is to ensure the future profitability of the organization and of course you can't do that without great people

Yeah, right yeah and that without great people. People.

Yeah, right.

Yeah.

And if you're going to be responsible for the future,

you've got to be thinking about who's going to be in what job this year, next year, the year

after. And then then you got to consider okay

based on what we think the market is going to do in the next five years what are

what are the external environment of organization is going to do in the next five years

where are we weaker strong relative

to what we think we'll need.

And therefore, what hiring we need to do and what development we need to push in order to create

the future we want.

Otherwise, the future is going to end up happening to us

rather than us creating it, which is not a good situation, right?

Right.

And so succession planning is a big piece of what managers and executives need to be thinking about.

And so today we're going to talk about how to do success and planning now for you and your team.
