Summary

Having issues with each other's family of origin is one of the most common things that couples fight about, particularly around the holidays. It’s challenging to set healthy boundaries while also maintaining relationships with each other's "first family” — particularly if your in-laws are controlling or intrusive. (Or just very different from your family). just be a little bit more emotionally charged than usual. So that is my hope for us today is to talk

1:57.2

about factors related to that and what you and your partner can do to negotiate this

2:03.4

well and be a couple through this and escape the holiday season with your relationship intact

2:11.5

and also with your family relationships intact. So that is what we are up to today. This is important because couples can
