Summary

You are not a machine.

You are not a computer.

You are a unique expression of The Divine,

a moving, breathing, feeling child of Nature.

As long you are here on this planet,

you are capable of growth and change.

Stay rooted in the soil of your rich inner life,

tending to it like a precious garden,

and keep expanding by the light of awareness.

The nourishment is in the soil.

The growth is in the light.

New beliefs can’t be rewired into you.

You are not an electrical appliance.

You can’t reprogram your nervous system

by installing a new operating system.

But you can nurture new growth through daily cultivation.

And you are naturally creative.

Developing confidence in that fact is simply a matter of

remembering who you are.

It's from an anonymous listener, and it goes like this. Hi, Joe DeVoe. I first want to say

0:51.5

thank you so much for everything that you offer to the world.

0:56.7

You've been in my years for probably the last seven years.

1:08.2

And just so grateful that you're in the world. So thank you for that.

1:13.5

My question is, I would love to hear your thoughts on cultivating creative confidence. I am in a

1:22.1

position where I have a job that I absolutely love. And I just want to kind of say to the side a little bit

1:30.0

that anybody who feels like they're just searching for purpose, they don't know if they'll

1:36.3

ever find it. That's how I felt. And then synchronistically, just kind of things fell into place.

1:41.7

And I have a job that I love. and I just really feel like it is possible.

1:47.2

It's within the realm of recreational therapy, especially with in the elder population.

2:06.5

And it is just such a blast and also really requires a lot of creativity and of course also just like communication collaboration and so it has been expanding me

2:13.8

in a lot of different ways and I have been learning so so much. I think it's one of those things

2:17.9

that you'll always be learning. And I'm just looking for a little bit of confidence regarding my
