It's sometimes hard to remember what you thought about something 20 odd years ago or more, isn't it?

It can be, unless you kept a diary, do you keep a diary?

I wish I'd kept a diary.

I really do.

I can sometimes, I can't even remember what I had for breakfast some days, never mind what was going on in my mind or even in the world of Waila go. I'd love to have kept it.

Is it too late? Is it too late to keep it? Maybe it isn't too late to keep a diary.

Four minutes after ten is the time. I mentioned that because when we joined the second Gulf War,

when Tony Blair took us into the second Gulf War,

I was in a really strange position in that I had my first job in broadcasting, and we used to divvy up opinions.

It was a morning show on telly. Matthew Wright presented it. You may have caught it occasionally.

And when I was hired to do it, it was agreed that if both of the panelists had the same opinion on a subject, then we'd take it in turns to argue the opposite of what we actually believed.

Because you had to have a debate. Looking back, it may not have been the best way to do it.

And in fact, those shows now have a revolving sort of rota, a revolving roster of panellists.
