Approximately 10 million Americans have osteoporosis and another 44 million have low bone density,

placing us at an increased risk of fractures. And when fractures occur, they can be debilitating

and potentially fatal over the course of years. Fifty-four million Americans, half of adults of over 50 years of age and older, are at risk for

breaking a bone and should be concerned about bone health. The problem is we don't start looking

for bone health problems in this country until there is either a fracture or after the age of about 55. We could, on the other hand, take
