But first I wanted to share an update with you that caught my eye this week in the news,

which may be especially interesting to those listening to me in real time at the beginning of the summer,

and of course the start for many of peak hay fever season.

Well the UK Met Office are warning of a cloud of, quote,

a particularly potent pollen to plague those who suffer with hay fever.

Apparently the unusually warm and wet conditions last month may explain why so many of us are feeling worse than usual,

as our air quality has been lowered while the potency of pollen has increased.

Apparently a warm and wet May, coupled with a relatively warm spring,

means there's a chance that the pollen that's developed is particularly potent.

Hmm, well as a hay fever sufferer myself, this is clearly not good news.
