0:00.0	Life is a journey, and the fourth section of the Psalms, known as the Numbers' Psalms, show us the goodness and guidance of God along that journey.
0:16.0	If we want to move forward, we must look up. Let's join Scott Pauli now as we open the Word of God and find direction for the road of life.

0:39.3	Let me just tell you, you don't stretch your way into the throne room of heaven.
0:44.0	You don't prance into the presence of God and announce that you are there.
0:48.2	No, how do you approach a holy God?
0:52.0	Well, Psalm 99 helps us with this. You remember that Psalm 97, 98, 99, and 100 all revolve around
1:00.5	the arc of the covenant being brought back into the temple during the time of David in 2nd Chronicles
1:05.7	chapter number 7. And it was a joyful time. But notice, not only is that a joyful thing, it's a sobering thing.
1:13.1	I'm afraid far too much of what is called worship today
1:16.5	wants the joy without the reverence.
1:20.2	And I want you to know that true joy is always coupled with true reverence
1:24.3	because we see the Lord high, exalted, and lifted up. Psalm 99 begins, like
1:30.4	several Psalms have recently, with these words, the Lord reigneth. That's the exact same way Psalm 97 began.
1:37.2	The Lord reigneth. Then it says, let the people tremble. He sitteth between the cherubims.
1:45.9	Let the earth be moved.
1:46.9	Think of it.
1:48.6	Visualizing your mind just a moment.
1:53.6	They are literally looking now at the Ark of the Covenant being brought back into the Holy of Holies,
1:55.2	back into the proper place.
1:58.1	And on the top of the Ark of the Covenant were these two cherubims.
1:59.9	You remember facing the mercy seat?
