0:34.8	divorce, and the healing process and she has used all of her personal and
0:39.9	professional experience to write a book called Don't Turn Back. So first of all,
0:45.5	welcome to the podcast Lydia. Hi, thank you Natalie. Thank you for having me.
0:50.1	Such an honor. Yeah, can you, can you tell us why you called your book,
0:56.4	don't turn back?
0:58.3	Well, I made probably the same mistakes
1:01.0	every other victim of domestic violence does is I turn back so many times
1:06.1	for so many different reasons even after he was found guilty of spousal abuse and child abuse
1:11.6	through the military and I continued to keep going back.
1:15.0	Did the military do, do they do anything when someone is found guilty of that kind of thing?
1:22.0	Yeah, so it's all jurisdictional.
1:24.8	So where did it happen?
1:26.3	That it happened on base, off base.
1:29.1	So if it happened off base, they wouldn't prosecute.
1:31.8	But in my case, since we did live on on base like on the military
1:36.3	installation they could prosecute which kind of was hindering my civilian court hearings because they were like, well, this happened on a military base, not in not in our county.
1:48.0	So it gets very technical, but they did they did find and guilty for that. in the end it's called a military they call a line number they did end up giving him his line number and he eventually did go and promote a year later.
