in the how they got their series. Today my guest is John Eldridge. John is a bestselling author,

counselor and teacher. He's known for his bestselling book Wild at Heart. And John and I could talk

all day long. He's had a tremendous influence on me and that conversation comes to you right now.

John, I'm so excited to be with you because I've had the opportunity to interview a handful of times

in my past and working with leadership conferences. I actually got to come to Colorado.

That's right. Yes. At the young life camp, I mean it was out there and it was a life-changing couple

of days for me and the men that were there. And so I'm just a big fan of your work.

And the reason I want you in here today is because of what we talk about on the Ken Coleman show

every day that you were created a fellow unique role. That means you're needed. Yep.

Tremendous value. But you have to do it. There's a duty to be you. Yeah. Somebody out there in the

world needs you to be you. And so I want you to speak to that because you have tremendous

context there. As a what would you say to the audience who are still kind of wrestling with that?

They've had some pain in their past. They feel devalued. Maybe they're just gripped with fear.

I mean let me blow your mind. So go back in your past and look at the opposition.

Where have most of the wounds and most of the you know of sentences against you hit

because that's your calling. That's the core you. Right. And so you have nothing to say.

Well you're probably supposed to say a lot. Right. Or you can't bring beauty to the world.

Well you're probably supposed to be creative and bring beauty to the world. So that is actually

use your past. Where did those wounds land? Yeah. Where did those accusations come in?

What did your folks say to you? Or a coach, a teacher, a mentor that shut you down?

Right. Go back and get that because that will actually reveal your place in the world.
