Today the conversation is with Jess Ekstrom,

Jess is an entrepreneur and founder of Headbands of Hope,

a company specializing in accessories that donates a headband

to a child battling cancer.

After interning with a wish-granting organization

in college and visiting sick children,

Jess realized there was a need for kids

who had lost their hair due to the illness

and they needed hope by expressing their personality

and keeping their head warm.

In her junior year in college, Jess founded Headbands of Hope

out of her dorm room.

Since then, the company has grown

and has now carried in thousands of stores

and has donated headbands to every children's hospital

in America.

We love to highlight people who are doing work

that really matters and Jess is just one of those people.
