Magazine. Returning to the program today is the great investigative journalist, David Serota.

He is the founder, the editor-in-chief of The Lever, one of the leading independent investigative journalism outlets in the country,

is also a former speechwriter for Bernie Sanders. His new book, which we're actually speaking

today on publication day of his new book, Master Plan, The Hidden Plot to Legalize Corruption in America,

co-written with the levers Jared Jekang Mayer.

This book is an adaptation of the Master Plan podcast,

which won the National Press Club Award for Best Investigative Journalism Podcast.

The late and great Bill Moyers said you must read Master Plan if you want to understand

what has happened to our democracy, get ready to read and fight back.

I should also mention that David Serrota is an Academy Award nominee because he collaborated with previous

Kurt Affairs guest Adam McKay on the film Don't Look Up.

Well, congratulations on this book.

What this book, it's a, it's a bleak read, but I think one of the things that it will

do for people is help them understand the world that they live in. I just want to go to,

towards the end of the book, you have a chapter that you write on your own about, which is called Biden Our Time, Chapter 11.

And in that, you begin with the 2024 Democratic National Convention in Chicago.

And you talk about the sort of evidence, all the evidence of corporate corruption at that convention. And then you
