What's the remnant?

It is the people of God.

It is the ones that God is preserved

throughout every time in all of history.

As I was preparing for this message,

I was working with kind of a team that helps

create the sermon prep stuff.

And one of the things that came up,

it'll make sense in a second,

will give us a good framework for launching into what we're going to talk about tonight.

And it was the subject of the number of things that in school you and I were taught that really have no involvement in our life today.

Like the number of things that all throughout elementary school and through junior high

and high school and the number of different things if you think back on it that you'd be like oh man yeah I did learn that what what was that for huh and so we came up with a handful of them that if you really for most of us it's just funny how much time you spend focusing on this and pop quizzes and tests.

And then it's just kind of, it's gone with the wind forever.

Here's one, here's a few of them. Long division.

Most of us, does anyone use Long Division on a regular basis?

It's like, and if you do, we got to get you a calculator friend.
