When we left off yesterday, the Marquist Dryden had just offered to make Phoebe his mistress and was thoroughly rejected.

Now, they're both independently heading to London to finish the season.

So the next morning, after she runs away from his mistress proposal, she is at the breakfast table, and she gets an invitation from those twins to come and stay with them in London for two weeks and like go to their parties and stuff and like wear their dresses because they know that she's poor and she doesn't have any.

And when she tells Lisbeth this, Elizabeth is like, oh, so you would go because they invited me too. And so like you would go to like dance? And she's like, yeah. Because the night before, she tells Elizabeth that

people asked her to dance and so she gets to join in the revelry. And Elizabeth says to her,

completely seriously and without any guile,

says, but weren't you already? And she has to say to herself, like, don't tell her that

watching her dance is different, you know? So we zippies up to London. And she's staying with the family in the family quarters.

Importantly, Carbdis is with her.

Yeah. And the twins love how violent he is. The twins are like, we're going to win him over.
