Today, our third and final episode on the liturgical movement.

Last time we saw how World War II impacted the liturgy and its reform.

Today we'll see how the French and German clergy, emboldened by the lack of censures for their modernist ideas,

pushed for more and more changes which were totally opposed to the initial ideas of liturgical reform.

We'll see what led the radicals to become more vocal, and how their planning made its way into the Second Vatican Council's official documents.

And finally, we'll see the obvious conclusion of the movement's new impetus,

the novice.

Father Hanoz, great to have you back again. Thanks for spending another week with us.

And we are jumping right into

the 1950s, picking up where we left off last time, right? Yes. So I'm trying to hopefully

finish off today. The story of liturgical movement. So we left off in the kind of the aftermath

of World War II, World War II had a lot of chaos, basically,

and because of that, some of the more radical elements took advantage to kind of spread their ideas more

and themselves get, you know, more entrenched, as it were.

So moving into the 1950s, so 1950s were kind of an

interesting decade. In the church as a whole, there was a lot of very, very obvious, very external

expansion, a lot of converts, things like that, a lot of activity.
