When I watched Joe Biden give a speech like the one he gave Thursday,

pleading with Congress to enact safe gun laws because of the huge toll that mass shootings are taking on our country.

I see a man doing his level best to move us in the right direction.

He projects a straightforward old school patriotism that like him or not, you can respect.

I've been in this fight for a long time. I know how hard it is, but I'll never give up.

And if Congress fails, I believe this time a majority of the American people won't give up either.

I believe the majority of you will act to turn your outrage into making this issue central to your vote.

Enough, enough, enough.

What I don't see is a cult forming around him of half-witted fucking sycophants

begging to lick his boots and call him daddy.

What has happened to the Republicans is perhaps Donald Trump's greatest grift.

He has corrupted the entire party,

taken their conservative values,

and flushed them right down his fucking gold-plated toilet,

both morally and ethically bankrupted

every single branch of government that he touched

and robbed the people who worship him
