some of the details about the courting of John Harbaugh were coming out yesterday and it was fun

to read. I couldn't get enough of it and I guess there's this Mediterranean restaurant in East

Rutherford where Giants lore has been born and they brought other people there to try to close

deals and Mike McCarthy actually had dinner there and Pat Schumer when he got the deal

at dinner there but this was a bigger one and they they called up the owner and said we need that

table and they were going to go off the menu and you know what do you want does you want like

a meat or does you want a fish and this whole thing and they were able to close the deal and

it seems like that and Ian O'Connor put this out there,

that the Giants and John Harbaugh didn't get far away from each other at all in this process.

And John Harbaugh was zeroing in on the Giants,

almost as much as the Giants were zeroing in on him.

And Chris Mara told Ian O'Connor that, and this was after everything was done, I guess

Ian had sent a message to Chris Mara along the lines of, hey, if Green Bay opens up, you know,

I think that he's probably going to go to Green Bay, and Chris Mara wrote back, well, I wouldn't

bet on that.

And he knew then that he was, he had had him. And it was, it was just so much fun to listen to that because we knew how much the Giants wanted them. We knew how much we wanted the Giants to get them. But to hear how passionate that John Harborough was about taking this job makes it even more special. So excited for that press conference, it'll happen some point next week.

Yeah, you know, the big winner out of all this in my eyes, right now, as we sit here, is Chris

Marra.

Now, there was a great article that was written about John Mara being a part of all these interviews

because, you know, he is the steward of the franchise at the,

you know, and has been and loves the team and cares as much as the fans do. And it's, I know it's hard to hear somebody say that about a billionaire owner because there's always

the argument that the billionaire owners don't care. Believe me, they are highly competitive.
