All right, so let's talk about how the best marketers manage their most important resource

Which is time and I will go first on this one because by the way we're only talking about this because time is your most important asset right right? Because it cannot be renewed, whereas money can be renewed.

So the very first thing that I do that's actually pretty neurotic,

I think there's a 25% chance that Neil does this,

is every quarter or so or maybe every half year or so I actually

create a time sheet and I look at every hour how I spend every hour and so for

this hour for example or this 30 minutes or or this hour actually we're recording this

podcast right and so I might note for this one did this task actually give me

energy or did it take it away so I would market in a green highlight if it gave me energy

or a red highlight if it took energy away from me.

I'll also have another column that has four dollar signs, right?

It could be anywhere from one dollar sign to four dollar signs.

So four dollar signs is it makes me a lot of money.

One sign is a doesn't make me that much money at all, right? So what happens is

I'm going to basically do this for, I'm doing this manually by the way. You might say,

time tracking tool I use all the tools right but point is you do it manually and

as you're writing it down you're starting to get a sense for like how you're

actually spending your time I would recommend that you did this for two weeks.
