It's Labor Day, a day to think about the history of American labor and how working people have made this country what it is.

So for the holiday, we are sharing our conversation with Lewis Hyman on his book, Temp,

how American Work, American

Business, and the American Dream became temporary. There's so much in here. We recorded this

episode. Guys, it was episode 103. It was like in 2018 when we recorded this episode. The book is

fantastic. It is incredible how well all this holds up. We have been jostling for solutions to the

core problems that we've had for a while now. And I think whatever we've done, we haven't solved

some of the core problems that we identified in this conversation. And I think most of us know

are very real, especially regarding our work and our livelihoods. I hope you

guys enjoy this conversation. I hope you have a great Labor Day. I hope your work is bearing
