I'm going to skip the usual preamble for this show because I have a topic that I'm really

excited to get into. And that is the adventures of Teddy Roosevelt while he was in the bad lands.

I'm going to interview William Hazelgrope, who's the author of Forgina President,

how the Wild West created Teddy Roosevelt. Hazelgrove's thesis is that the man Roosevelt became

wasn't because he was a sickly child and learned boxing and then suddenly he emerged fully

form into adulthood. Rather, it was what he learned in the bad lands of the Dakota territories,

how to be a cowboy essentially, how to stand up to rough and tumble characters that he met there.
