1:07.1 | And I've been looking forward to this for a while now. So before we dive in everything, before we dive into your story, can you just do me a favor and tell me a little bit about yourself, who you are, where you're from. I just want to get to know you better. |
1:20.1 | Sure. My name is Simona. I live in Southern California. Actually, my parents are migrants from the immigrated from Italy. And then they moved to Australia for business. |
1:35.5 | And I was the whoopsie daughter. So I was born. I was the first born rights outside of Italy. So I was born in Australia. We came here when I was almost four years old and I've been here ever since I love California. So amazing. Awesome. And what do you do? |
1:53.5 | Right now, I'm not actually right now. I'm not doing anything. I'm on a little hiatus. Okay. Kind of focusing on me and myself. |
2:01.5 | So yeah, I love that. That's perfect. That's amazing. All right. Well, so how about you dive in? I basically, I would just love to hear your story. |
2:12.5 | I would love to hear it because I know you lost an incredible amount of weight. But I just want to give you the floor to begin with wherever you think makes the most sense. |
2:22.5 | Okay, sure. It's a long story. So I hope I cut in if you need to. I've got all the time in the world. And I'm very excited to hear this. |
2:31.5 | Okay, awesome. Okay. So I've never really been an overweight. I was never really kind of overweight growing up. I went through my chubby stage. |
2:41.5 | You know, 11 to 13. I lost, you know, my weight just, you know, growing up, puberty, all that stuff. So I've never really been an overweight person or considered overweight. I had my daughter at 21. |
2:53.5 | And I, from then on, I was just kind of never able to really lose, lose weight. I was never really considered, you know, morbidly obese or anything. |
3:05.5 | I was just kind of a normal, you know, just a regular weight. Anyways, as time went on, I suffered a stroke when I was 24 years old. |
3:16.5 | Oh, wow. |
3:17.5 | And yeah. And so that was kind of like what, you know, what's going on. |
3:21.5 | You know, it caused it. |
3:23.5 | Well, at first, no. So at first, they thought, okay, it might have been birth control pills, which is, it's a very common thing to happen. |
3:31.5 | I know that. Yeah. Yeah. So there are some that, that is a factor. And so unfortunately, you know, they were saying that could be a possibility. |
