It falls to me today to speak to you from the Word of God, as it always does.

You have no interest in my opinion.

I would not waste your time by giving it, but we must hear from God.

Everybody's aware that we are in a crisis, perhaps something we have not experienced in most of our lifetimes.

We need to understand it from the biblical viewpoint.

Last week I addressed the question, who's to blame for the riots?

And the blame really fell in a lot of places.

But today I want to turn the page and ask the question, how do we as Christians respond

to protests and riots.

And I want to begin by reading two verses from the last chapter of Proverbs, verse 8 and 9

of chapter 31.

Open your mouth for the mute, for the rights of all the unfortunate.

Open your mouth, judge righteously, and defend the rights of the afflicted and needy.

That is a command from God.
