Hi, I'm Dave. Welcome to Walking is Fitness. This is a daily 10-minute podcast that I record while I'm out walking.

Sunrise was about a half hour ago and probably about 30 minutes before that.

You've got early daylight, but the sun isn't over the horizon yet.

And the birds are waking up and it's just an amazing

chorus of birds song and then once the sun is up you can still hear the

street but it's not as overwhelming now as it was probably an hour ago.

I'm not sure what the birds do after they wake up and sing their songs.

So I had a conversation with my son recently. He's struggling with his job, doesn't like it,

and wanted to talk through some options regarding leaving the job. It was a good conversation,

and of course, you know, I'm dad. I'm giving him the dad answers, but I think there was some wisdom in what I was talking about.

To be clear, the job that he has, it's a good job. He even recognizes that.

Pays well. All the particulars, all the things that you would want in a job, they are

there, but right now it's just not a satisfying work experience for him and he's looking at other

situations that would be more satisfying. So we talk through the options that he has and why he's feeling this way.
