I'm inspired to be here. We're gonna be talking about I'm sorry today in the context of parenting.

Yes, we are. And I got to say that and remind you that anyone can learn how to do relationships well.

You just need to learn and that's what this podcast is about. This one is for the parents. If you are a parent, this is for you. Parents, first of all, parents, I just, I love that you're a parent and that you're on the journey.

And it's an incredible thing isn't it to be a parent and to raise human beings.

It's like the ultimate insane responsibility.

And you probably understand by now that it's who you are

that does the teachings, not what you say

and not all the rules you have. It's how you live your life is that that's going to go in to your children.

So I have one piece of advice for you today and it has everything to do with saying

I'm sorry and I really think this is one of the most fundamental parenting mistakes you can make.

Is to teach your kids when there's an upset with another kid, a sibling, a classmate,

or whoever to just tell your kid to say you're sorry.

To me this is... to say you're sorry.

To me, this is incredibly simplistic

and just doesn't do the job when it comes to repair.

So ruptures are going to happen between your kid and other kids,

between you and other kids.
