Hey there, my friends. Do you remember the classic song, Lean on Me? We all need somebody to lean on. You know, Bill Withers was the artist. Great song. Almost every one of us could sing a line or two from it. The reason I'm bringing

up this old song is because you and I need to understand we need others in the daily

mind war that we have to fight to walk faithfully. And toward that in, I have created a number of

books that are designed to help you fight the mind war every single day. One of those, or actually,

I should say three of those, is a Christian fantasy fiction series called the Dragons Slayer Chronicles.

No sissy talking dragons here. These are real, vicious dragons that have to be fought and killed

to save the land. And there are spiritual truths woven all throughout.

Now, today we're going to dig into Philippians chapter 2 versus 1 through 4, so get out your

Bibles. But first, let's pray together that the Lord will be our teacher.

Lord, we are in need of your help.

We want to understand your word the way you intend for it to be understood.

So guide us today as we think about your word and as we apply it in our lives.

We ask in Jesus' name.

Okay, friends, Philippians chapter 2, verses 1 through 4,

shows us that we need others to help us win the mind war that we're engaged in every single day.

The Apostle Paul writes, if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from His love, any participation in the spirit, any affection, in sympathy,

complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfish, ambition, or conceit, but in humility, count others more significant than yourselves.

Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.

Now, this passage really hits home.
