Hi, I'm Monica Packer from About Progress, and this is a hug and a kick, a series where I share a short excerpt from my extensive podcast archives,

So we were talking about, you know, passion matters and how when you decided that you're, you know, it wasn't fulfilling you in the way you needed, both with the music and then the fashion design.

Where did you go from there? And how did that eventually lead to makeup?

Oh, wow. Um, I ditch school, I ended up just working for a bit because I needed a break. Like I mentioned, I really dislike school. And I'm not very good at school. I'm not. So college was really difficult for me to have

like all the test taking. There are some brains that are built for it, but I just didn't work that

way. Yeah, after the, when I was taking the break, I, then I met my husband. And I came from like a

really broken home. My parents ended up getting finally getting divorced when I was 18. And so really my focus stopped seeing about myself and making, like creating a family. You know, I wanted a healthy relationship with a spouse who supported me.

I wanted to have kids.

And so my focus just sort of turns from like career or,

um,

financial responsibilities to more of like,

this is,

this is the state of happiness that I want to have I want to have

have um kind of like a solid family relationship in my life so that's where my my passion kind of
