| 0:43.4 | in order to turn this thing around. |
| 0:45.6 | We frequently think of football as a complicated game, |
| 0:48.8 | and in some ways it is, but there's also a simplicity to it. |
| 0:53.0 | I think there are three core areas that the Jets have to address before they focus on anything else. |
| 0:57.7 | They are making sure you have playmakers on offense, making sure you have a pass rush on defense, |
| 1:02.8 | and just making sure you have great players in general. |

| 1:54.4 | into May and June. Those will be guys who are coming off injuries who need to work out for teams, |
| 1:59.3 | maybe some older players just trying to |
| 2:01.0 | extend their career who go to teams in desperate need of a guy at their position after the draft. |
| 2:06.6 | But this is a point where you start assessing what do we need as a football team. |
| 2:10.5 | And frequently we talk about this in terms of positions. And there's value to that. |
| 2:14.4 | And a little bit later on the show, we'll go into more of a positional needs focus. |
