| 0:00.0 | What is up everyone? This is Alex Lieberman, co-founder and executive chairman of Morning Brew. |
| 0:05.7 | Welcome back to Founders Journal, my personal audio diary, where I give you the business builder, |
| 0:11.6 | the tools you need to think better in order to build better, whether that's building a business, |
| 0:16.8 | a team, or a new product. You know, I may give off the vibe that I'm a really confident founder. |
| 0:23.9 | And when it comes to certain things that play into my strengths, I am confident. |
| 0:28.2 | Public speaking, relationship building, creative thinking, and identifying talent. |

| 1:28.0 | I have convinced myself that I do best when my calendars wide open, when I have the ability |
| 1:33.2 | to dictate my schedule, and I have more than enough buffer for all of the time that I inevitably |
| 1:39.8 | procrastinate. I've also convinced myself that's why I was not a good student in high school, |
| 1:45.1 | but I was a good student in college. In high school, between classes and sports, |
| 1:51.0 | I was tied up between 8.30am and 6.30pm, which meant I had to do my work between the hours of 7 |
| 1:57.9 | and 10pm, or it simply wouldn't get done. I didn't have a choice of when I could work. |
