Societal conventions mean that even in the circumstances we find as several Spurs fans,

I have to wish you all a very, very happy new year. Because last night's draw,

don't forget, nil-nill-nill-draw, Spurs is first in nearly four years at Brentford was

astonishingly bad football and Spurs were slightly the worst. I thought of two terrible

football teams. Jack, you were there. Your eyes I see are still bandaged. How bad was the game

and how bad a performance was that by Tottenham-Hartspur? I really, really hope that that is the

worst game of football played anywhere at any level in 2026. I really, really hope that that is the worst game of football played anywhere at any level

I don't just mean that for my sake.

I'm not saying I hope that I never watch anything that bad.

I hope nobody watches anything.

You know, from across the world, across the football pyramids in every country, I think

I never want to see that replicated. It was just, oh, it's one of those games, and you're sat there and you think, like, I love my job. I'm very, very privileged to be able to do it. I've always wanted to do this, and I'm very lucky to do it. But you watch, you sat there watching the game, and you think, and I other, lots of other fans in the stadium would have thought this too. What led me to this point?

Why am I, why am I, it's freezing cold. I'm watching two teams hoof the ball to each other

and try and win a throw in. And why, why are we doing this? What, why, like, how is, how have we all ended up here? I thought it was, yeah, I thought it was terrible. I mean, I thought, you know, I thought Crystal Palace Nile, Tottenham, Hotspur, won on the 28th was pretty bad, to be honest. But compared to what we saw last night, Palace Nill Tottenham won, that's at the 2022 World Cup final. Like, this was just another, another level. And I think that I don't want to blame, it wasn't just that Tottenham were bad and Brentford were bad. It's not just, so it wasn't just about like the level of their performance and it wasn't just about their tactics. It was a combination of the football they tried to play and the fact that they were effectively playing the same game canceling each other out

and it just put it all together, Danny, in the cold, tired players

and it just made for like the most obscene anti-spectacle I think I've ever seen.

I don't, at least you weren't suffering with the cold.
