Listeners, welcome to Real Talk Whole Life. Today we have Dr. Jamie Notman on. She's a reproductive endocrinologist, fertility advocate, and author of the new best-selling book, Own Your

Fertility. And Jamie and I were just

talking before we started the show. And I'm very much in a different phase of my life than

having children. And I think a lot of us listeners are also in that phase of life. But I personally

think that fertility, the word, gets such a bad

rap as being only associated with when you're trying to have children and not how it impacts

your overall well-being and health through your entire life and the different phases of

your fertility, puberty through menopause.

So I'm excited that you're here today, Jamie, to talk with us about all of that and what you see

going on in your world and the practice and all of those things. Can you tell listeners a little bit about

yourself and the work that you do? Sure. At least that my name is Jamie Notman. I'm a fertility

doctor. I work at a fertility clinic in New York City. I said that I used to call myself an

infertility doctor and now I call myself a fertility doctor because much of my time is spent

helping women and couples preserve their

fertility rather than treat their infertility. So the fertility preservation is an umbrella term
