Among the new faces on the Lakers next season, Malik Monk is arguably the most intriguing. It's in part because he's just 23, coming off a career-best season with the Hornets, and is playing on a veteran's minimum well below what was his perceived market value. It's also in part because most Laker fans have barely seen him play (the whole "Charlotte" thing) and given how he's a former lottery pick who made strides, it's a bit curious how the team that drafted him didn't even present a qualifying offer. (To be honest, the Kamenetzkys have only seen so many of Monk's games, and they cover the league for a living!) With that in mind, they called upon Jacob Rude for perspective.
