It's the Brian Larry Show on WNYC. Good morning again, everyone. And happy Tuesday, Election Day, is now six weeks away. When we know the results of the presidential election is anyone's

0:23.3

guess. And it became even more uncertain on Friday when the Georgia State Election Board passed a

0:28.7

requirement for all the ballots in the state to be counted by hand. This is purportedly to prevent

0:34.4

election fraud, but it's a problem that no evidence says exists to any

0:39.2

meaningful degree in Georgia. The vote on the five-member board was three to two, and by way of

0:44.6

background, I want to play a couple of clips. Donald Trump held a rally in Georgia last month,

0:48.7

at which he praised these three members of the Georgia State Elections Board by name and said they were helping him achieve victory.

are all pit bulls fighting for honesty, transparency, and victory. They're fighting.

1:47.1

Are they here? Where are they? Where are they? Thank you. What a job. Thank you.

1:57.3

So that from the August 4th, Trump rally in Georgia. Those three members of the state elections board

2:03.0

voted in the hand-counting rule last Friday, voted in favor. The vote was three to two.

2:09.6

By contrast, voting no, was the chair of the board, himself a Republican, appointed by Republican

2:15.9

Governor Brian Kemp. His name is John Furvier. Here he is on

2:20.4

Atlanta's Channel 4 TV. My position is a nonpartisan position, so I don't participate in any

2:25.9

partisan activities at all as a board member. The other board members, you know, whether they

2:31.0

participate in something that's up to them. John Furvier, after that Trump rally that we played a clip of.
