Today's 10-minute walk is helping you keep the fitness promise you made to yourself,

I'm walking beside the lake that is behind our community,

and even though I'm out pretty early this morning,

usually even when I'm out early, there's some activity on the lake.

Ducks, we've got geese, heron.

Typically, that's what I see. And right now, I don't see anything.

I've also seen beavers in this lake.

At one end there's a place where beavers have built a dam.

And of course this is the lake where the alligator used to live.
