Hey I'm Brian Hyatt and this is Rolling Stone, music now. Today's episode is all about Joni Mitchell.

Joni just gave her first performance in many years at the Newport Folk Festival and

the worldwide reaction to it was a reminder of just how beloved she is

and just how beloved she's become in new generations. And Joni also announced that

there's a new box set coming out in September, the asylum years, 1972 to 1975, which happens to cover some of her absolute artistic peaks.
