Secretary of State and losing Democratic candidate for Senate last year. The guy from that ad with

the rifle that he takes apart blindfolded. Why talk to a guy who lost no matter how close he came?

Well, kind of insanely, given how far away

we are from the next presidential election. I've been to New Hampshire twice already this spring.

One was for a big dinner. Joe Biden spoke out in the Manchester Radisson. The second was to

record this interview, which we also actually did in the Manchester Radisson, but in a smaller

room upstairs. Biden, when he was there, insisted he isn't running for

president. Cander, when I asked him about president too, said there's no way that that's why he was in town.

But you know what? He's been all over the country, including going to Iowa, twice now. I know it's crazy

what people have actually said to me maybe

Candor will just run for president himself, but that's not what's interesting about him to me.

That event in Manchester was just one of three he did that weekend there in Massachusetts

and Kentucky. That's a pretty average weekend for him. There is no one in politics that I've

seen who has done this well by losing.

He got himself 100,000 Twitter followers.

Joe Biden sees him as sort of like his dead son Beau.

They have a similar profile.

Both of them were in the army, got into politics, and Biden has kind of adopted him.

A lot of people in Obama world have kind of adopted him. In January, the last interview that Obama did when he was president, he was asked

who's the future of the Democratic Party. And the first name he came up with was Jason Kander.

Again, a guy who lost. And Democratic groups all over the country
