They are conducting a genocide now with glee, they're setting their atrocities to music, putting them on catchy reels on TikTok.

A new film by Al Jazeera's investigative unit examines the war on Gaza through the social media accounts of the soldiers carrying it out.

Social media might not be real life, but through what we post, we curate our own versions of reality, what we want others to see.

Yeah. our own versions of reality, what we want others to see. So what does it tell us when Israeli soldiers are willingly,

and in some cases, gleefully posting videos of themselves committing what many experts consider war crimes.

This was a crime committed in plain sight.

It was a crime that Israeli soldiers posted videos about as they did it.

Israeli politicians announced it beforehand.

The Israeli public and Israeli media cheered them on.

I'm talking to my AJI unit colleague Richard Sanders,

and he's the director of a new film simply called Gaza.

So, Richard, this film does, I think, an excellent job chronicling this horrible here in Gaza.

And one of the ways it tells this story is through the social media posted by the men and

women doing the fighting.
