Hi, this is Tom from zero to finals.com. In this episode, I want to take a short time to tell you the story of my journey through medicine, particularly about learning how to study medicine, prepare for exams and share information in a way that makes it easy for others to learn too.

There won't be any actual medical content in this episode, so feel free to skip it,

0:28.8

although I think you'll find some of the tips very helpful for your exam preparation.

I'm going to be taking a short break from the podcast, but I'll be right back with many,

0:38.9

many more episodes in a few weeks' time. I've been putting out three episodes a week,

0:45.1

every Monday, Wednesday and Friday since the first episode aired on the 4th of November

0:51.8

2018. That means nearly 850 episodes of the podcast over the past six years, each one jammed with

1:02.0

medical content.

1:04.2

I'm going to be taking a couple of weeks off from the podcast to spend more time with my

1:09.1

family and set various things in motion to

1:11.8

ensure that zero to finals becomes even bigger and even better in the future, and the podcast

1:17.9

continues for many years to come. Don't worry, I'll be back in a couple of weeks with more

1:24.4

episodes. In the meantime, there's plenty of existing episodes covering almost

1:29.6

everything you need to know for medical exams. I highly doubt anyone except me and Harry have listened

1:36.0

to every single episode. If you have, I'd love to hear from you. Speaking of which, if you're a regular

1:43.4

listener to the podcast, please consider

1:46.4

heading over to iTunes or Spotify and leaving a review. It's really motivating and encouraging

1:55.0

to hear how people use and benefit from the podcast. If you've got time and the podcast has been beneficial for you,

2:03.3

pause it here and head over to those websites and leave me a review. I'd be really grateful.

2:10.3

So, on to the story. I've spent the past 16 years plus obsessing over the process of learning medicine. Over this period, I've gone

2:20.5

from feeling very frustrated and confused about how and what to learn to developing a bulletproof

2:27.7

strategy for smashing medical exams. But we need to go back even before medical school to where the story starts.
