When Henry Svec and his wife Mary converted their 50-acre farm into a honeybee sanctuary, he learned a lot not only about taking care of them but also about preserving nature. 0:03.5	beekeeping. I was talking to someone at the environmental conference who was telling me I should
0:07.4	do this with my bees and I should do this. And I kept correct. I could do that. I could do that.
0:12.1	And it's great that you're doing that. But people get too pushed into their boxes about beekeeping,
0:17.0	especially when there's mites and the bees are collapsing. A lot of bees, you know what,
0:20.9	they get up in the morning and they look around, they go, you know what, this isn't a great
0:23.7	house and we're going to move. So all of a sudden, they get up and they move. And we call it
0:27.3	absconding. And everybody says, well, the bees are gone. They're just, they calmly collapse disorder.
0:31.5	They're all gone. Well, maybe they left because they didn't like the neighborhood, and there wasn't enough food. No, seriously, that's why they leave, where you're spraying too much or the tree, or they're

0:40.9	So it's all part of what happens.
0:43.1	So I guess our challenge, you ask me maybe what the problem is, we have to know when
0:47.4	not to help and when to help.
