Welcome to Back from the Abyss. I'm Dr. Craig Hecock.

A couple of episodes ago, I invited all of you to give me more direct feedback on the podcast, and I said,

email me and we could set up a video, a phone call.

And these calls have been happening over the last few weeks, and it's been amazing.

It's been just completely delightful.

I've spoken with people from Australia, New Zealand, Boston, Tacoma,

Washington, O'Clair, Wisconsin, Salt Lake City, Boston, Atlanta. And interestingly,

only one person from the top six places were back from the Abyssk gets downloaded. Our top

six download places are Denver, Fort Collins, Chicago, Salt

Lake, City, Atlanta in New York. Oh, no, wait, we had one in Salt Lake, one in Atlanta.

But I have to say, making a podcast is really an interesting process because, you know,

Chris and I are putting our heart and soul into this and we put this out there.

And you know, we get emails and I get texts from people.

I get feedback, but it's sort of, it feels like doing a concert or a big presentation where you can't see anybody's faces or hear any of the reactions.

So every time we release an episode, I'm on our

server and I'm looking where it's getting downloaded. I'm thinking, who's in Cedar Rapids,

Iowa that's listening? And who is in Ridgeway, Colorado, and who is in Melbourne, Australia? And

it's just so fascinating, interesting to me that I and the storytellers

are sharing these really intimate things. But with this offer to speak with listeners, oh my gosh,

it was amazing. So I set up these video calls with people and boom, they pop on the screen and instantly there

was this really unusual and powerful connection. So, you know, I think on their end, and many

spoke to this, that hearing my voice and my stories and the podcast, it felt like people
