Four minutes after ten is the time and we are, thank the Lord we're nearly there, at least when we have an answer to the question of whether there is going to be a very, very thin deal or no deal at all.

We can get on with the business of trying to paper over some of the cracks,

undo some of the inevitable damage and move towards a sort of nationwide recognition that we have just embarked upon an act of national self-arm, so unprecedented and so utterly incredible,

that I think not just the rest of the world,

but our grandchildren will look back upon the last five years of British history with a sense

of absolute incredulity. But not us, of course, not us, because not only do we believe

everything that we're seeing, but we saw it on the horizon many many

moons ago it was clear to me and and I'm just I think I'm allowed to have a little bit of a

wonder around the houses around the battlefield this morning and then and then you will be as

always welcome to join in but um I've almost missed it in a way. It's like a

almost like a psychological conundrum for me. It has been really interesting to learn from people

what was real and what was not with regard to that referendum back in 2016.

But it's also been psychologically really quite discombobulating because you have this

continuing, as everything has fallen away, you know, whether it is the ludicrous

figures of speech like sunlit uplands or have your cake and eat it or or the...
