Hello, it's David Lammy here on LBC this morning, leading Britain's conversation.

0:23.3

And I want to talk about the fact that NHS staff will no longer get the coronavirus vaccine first in this rethink that seems to

0:31.3

have happened overnight. Now we're going to be prioritising residents in care homes.

0:37.3

So those who are older adults will get the vaccine before frontline health and social care workers.

0:45.6

And look, many of you will know that the winter is the toughest time for the NHS.

0:52.3

Let's face it, you know, flu and a whole range of other things that drive people

0:57.1

into hospitals. And so the assumption was that those that care for us, the 1.4 million NHS workers,

2:10.6

get access to it. Because if you've only got 800,000 batches and you've got 1.4 million NHS workers. You can see how NHS workers will lose out.

2:21.5

So I want to hear from you this morning. How do you feel about it? Should we be prioritising

2:27.1

our nurses and our doctors? Or actually in the end, because of what happened in our care homes, it's absolutely right that

2:38.1

we prioritise those over 80 and those who are vulnerable first, those who need that touch
