on the show, The Farm Manager at Vets on the Farm, joined and served in the Air Force

for 21 years to play six times in the Middle East. Grant, so we talked about generally

what happens when you come out of the service and you try to find some sort of path and

you know farming, farming has been your path, but with Vets on the farm, I'm assuming

it's a path for many, many veterans and I'm curious maybe if there's some standout

examples of people who kind of came in, maybe life wasn't going too well or something

like that and hopefully now it is.

Yeah, so the big thing is finding a new mission as we would like to say and but just coming

out when we have an internship program or stewardship program, we like to call it,

it come out and you know a lot of people are getting into this and you know growing

their own food and stuff, so we haven't come out and look and if you know some don't

get on the internship or they want a different path but we see typically on a day to day basis

if we have someone new, how they respond, they might be real quiet at first unsure but

once they start getting their hands in the soil, getting those microorganisms, you know

going through your body and you kind of go to a safe place and that's what we try to provide

is just some people just go and they'll just start weeding and we'll lose them for an

hour.

I mean not literally we know where they're at obviously but you know they just kind of go

their own place and just being around going from destruction to production is a big thing

as a term we use quite a bit once they see that seed come up and you know they'll come

and grab one of us and say hey look you know it's actually working so they have that renewed
