Well, hello there. It's Morgan here. And welcome to today's episode. Today we're going to be

talking about disappointment. The title of this episode is How to Find Grace, a missed

disappointment. And I just want to read a poem that I wrote about disappointment. The real trouble of disappointment was not just

the disappointment itself, but the reality that after all you had been through, you had to

start all over again. But many, many miles into the journey, you start to realize something.

You don't remember those trees over there.

You don't remember the stars shining this bright.

You don't remember this canyon or the river that runs through it. Because as it turns out,

even though you felt like you were going back to the start, it was actually the beginning of a whole new journey.

What you thought was the end was a chance to start again.

When I was writing about disappointment for this piece, it was from a much, much longer journal entry,

and I started to recognize as I evaluated different to appointments in my own life, how I was

talking myself in circles.

At least that's how I felt.

I felt like I kept coming back to the same things over and over again. And I've,

I've spent many years at this point, over 20 years journaling. And as I go back and look,

I see a lot of circling back to the same thing. Sometimes I'll go back and I'll look at an old

journal entry of mine from five years ago,

10 years ago, expecting to see, wow, what was I thinking about? What insight might I find? And I find circles.

I find circles around the same old fears. At least that's my perception of it. So with art, and this is why I just love

using the lens of art and making art, is because I approached it from the perspective, well,
