I learned something very disappointing about France

from the Olympic Games that I did not know before. I had no idea that France, when it comes

to representing the country, they have rules about secularism. So you're not allowed to wear or have any kind of religious

symbol on your person while you're competing in the Olympic Games for the country

of France. And I found this out because one of our listeners sent me an article that says that women who wear his jobs are not allowed to wear them during the Olympic Games if they're representing France.

And I was like, there's no way in the year of our Lord 2024 that's a real rule so I went

digging for a little bit of research turns out that's exactly the case if a woman

typically wears a hijab she is not allowed to wear it if she is

representing the country of France there are women in the Olympics isn't that wild?

Yeah, that is wild man. Yeah so basically you're I mean it's the same thing so across the board so if you are a

person who's Jewish you're not allowed to wear like you know the Jewish star if you're

Christian you can't wear a cross but I thought that was a real slight

specifically to women who are purposely covering their

hair for modesty.

They're not a lot, I mean they're allowed to cover their hair, but they just can't wear the

hijab specifically because it's a religious symbol.

I also think too, like athletes that are like very religious,

they probably rely on their religion a lot during training
