here is a question that's coming up by a girl name a woman girl named Summer I haven't heard her voice so I have no sense

of her age but it has to do with connecting with God in an authentic way.

And this is especially a concern if

hearing the voice of God

is not the biblically sound way of connecting with God,

though that's the way a lot of people think of it.

So we'll cover a couple of different aspects there

Hi there, Greg. My name is Summer and before I begin, I just want to say, I really appreciate your podcast and I appreciate all of your articles, especially your three-part articles on Does God Whis. This way of thinking and this point of view has really

helped me in a lot of ways especially since I know that it's backed up by

scripture. My question today is how would you or what kind of advice

would you give to someone who is transitioning from a more charismatic Pentecostal background who does believe in all of these

different subjective ways that God speaks to the more biblical belief.

Because for example, myself, I do struggle to still really find grounding in the fact that God does not whisper and he does not try to give me hints because a lot of people in my community do believe

that he does and also I have found myself struggling in prayer feeling like I

can't connect to God because I obviously do not want to participate in

listening prayer anymore. And so I would just like to have some advice if possible on how I can more easily transition and live and connect with God in a way that is biblically sound. Thank you so much.

Well Summer I really appreciate the question and it's actually I put it first here in this hour because I have a lot to say about this

and I want to have the freedom not squeezed by time constraints. I won't take the whole
