impact.

Hello everyone, I'm delighted to take part in this podcast on impact investing and more specifically

about environmental impact. Over the next few minutes,

I will explain how investors can measure environmental impacts through what sources and how these

are transcript to bring explicit content in terms of measurements. But let's first come back quickly

to the definition of impact investing. The global impact investing network

defines it as investment made with the intention to generate positive, measurable, social, and

environmental impact alongside a financial return. Indeed, it is known that what is not measured

is not managed. This proverb is all the true for impact investing

to provide maximum transparency and thus avoid the risk of green or impact washing. It then

quickly becomes understandable that prior actions are necessary before arriving at relevant reporting

and being able to demonstrate not only the activities and outputs, but also

the outcomes. These steps can commonly include the generation of specific goals, definition

of a clear strategy, the selection of judicious metrics, and finally the continuous management

of these impact measures. Most impact investors refer primarily to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals,

which since 2015 constitute the main guidelines of the United Nations Sustainable Development Program

and the common denominator usually used.

Regarding environmental impacts, there are globally six relevant SDGs.

On this basis, it becomes easier for all to set impact targets.
