The weather can have such a huge impact on whether or not we take the walk.

Today we're going to talk about ways to overcome challenging weather, and I also learn a new word.

Hi, I'm Dave, welcome to walking as fitness, a daily 10-minute walk that we're taking together,

and we'll start today's walk after this.

Today's 10-minute walk, for me at least, is happening in nature.

And I guess I'm defining nature as I've got trees, birds, and bugs,

and there probably are some snakes that are nearby

that I can't see, and I'd like to keep it that way.

At times, many times I've called this the wooded trail.

I don't know how much longer this is going to be here, though,

because this is on a piece of

property that is scheduled to be developed and I think they're going to be turning this into,

I don't know, like a hundred townhomes. I'm not entirely sure how many.

And I've looked at the plans

and this trail

I'm not entirely sure is going to exist.

At the moment, no construction.

At the moment, I haven't even seen hints of

it's coming soon other than I know it's been approved.

So this wooded trail may not be here a year from now, but until it's gone, I'm going to continue to enjoy walking along the trail, recording podcast episodes along the trail,

and painting a picture for you of the trail.
