1:15.7 | to talk about why we feel guilty. Why do we feel guilty? Because the truth of the |
1:20.9 | matter is we love people who struggle with addiction. And that typically brings a lot |
1:28.5 | of drama and a lot of pain into our life, right? And we're desperately trying to help |
1:35.8 | the person that we love get sober. We're trying to help them make better choices to stay |
1:42.6 | employed or to have better communication with their parents or to learn what it feels |
1:48.7 | like to constantly choose family over alcohol or drugs. We see how great their life can be |
1:57.9 | if they just stopped their bad behavior. And we hold on for so long because we want to |
2:07.2 | believe that they eventually, with the right time or with enough consequences or with |
2:15.8 | the right education or help, they will live the life that we know they could live. And |
2:23.8 | you guys know from the past episodes, I've done statistically speaking the chances of |
2:29.0 | that are not great. And so everyone listening, I know, I was thinking, well, I've got the, |
2:38.0 | I've got the, I love the person that's going to make it. And maybe you do. I've certainly |
2:42.6 | have had people in our community who have stayed with their loved ones. And their loved |
2:49.3 | ones have gotten sober. And that is, that is real. And that happens. And we need to celebrate |
