0:40.4	that's not a career that a person can just choose like you would choose to be a doctor or a lawyer.
0:45.3	We believe that God has to call you into that ministry. The Apostle Paul in his epistles,
0:50.4	he frequently makes reference to his call to preach the gospel. Of course, we read about his call to
0:55.5	preach the gospel in Acts chapter 9. He has this dramatic experience on the road to Damascus.
1:00.7	But how does a person today know if God is calling them into a preaching ministry? Is every
1:06.6	preaching call as dramatic as the one that Paul experienced? I would say, let me give you a background
1:12.8	first. I believe every Christian is called to ministry. Now when I say ministry, that's a synonym for
1:19.8	service. So not everyone is called to a preaching ministry, but everyone is called to a place of service
1:26.7	in the body of Christ.
1:28.2	So at the beginning of our discussion, I would say every child of God, every Christian,
1:34.0	every young person should be actively seeking what is my role in the church?
1:38.2	What do I contribute to the church?
1:39.5	In addition to faithful attendance and worship and giving and what am I doing specifically
1:47.7	that maybe someone else isn't doing.
1:49.9	Am I teaching Bible studies?
1:51.5	Am I reaching out to win souls?
